Established in 1984, S.W. Welch Bookseller is one of Montréal's most respected literary landmarks. In March of 2007 we moved to our current location, 225 St-Viateur West in Montreal's Mile-End district, after many years on The Main (St-Laurent). We're open seven days a week, usually until late at night. When in Montreal, come and pay us a visit!

Located just one block east of the Avenue du Parc, we're a one minute walk (ten minutes, if you stop for bagels) from what is likely the fastest, most reliable bus route in the city: the number 80 du Parc. The 80 leaves several times per hour from the Place-des-arts Metro on the Green line. Just jump off at Saint-Viateur - you'll see the YMCA on your left if you're heading North.
